Frequently Asked Questions
Public-data targets: government portals, property and court records, business directories, catalogs, and marketplaces. These sites use rate limits and session state rather than serious bot detection, and datacenter IPs with Anti-Detect Mode handle them well.
It won't reliably get through Cloudflare-hardened sites with managed challenges, or consumer platforms behind login. For those you'll need residential proxies. Test your target on the homepage before subscribing — it takes five seconds and doesn't need an account.
For public-data targets, usually not. Residential costs several times more per GB and adds nothing against sites that aren't actively defending against you. Run those on datacenter and save the money.
But mixed workloads are normal, and residential is here for the part of yours that needs it. Buy it in prepaid packs from $45, on the same account and the same bill, with the per-GB rate dropping as you scale. No second vendor, no second contract, no second invoice to reconcile.
Datacenter is the default: residential only runs when you set the flag, and your prepaid balance is a hard stop — a bug in a loop can't produce a surprise invoice.
All plans include a free trial with a 5 GB traffic limit. You'll need to create and confirm a subscription, but the first payment is only processed after the trial ends. You can cancel at no cost during the trial.
The trial is meant for evaluation, so it has two restrictions: requests are limited to 1 per second, and high-risk targets — online banking, social network logins, identity providers, and payment processors — aren't reachable. Everything else works exactly like a paid plan.
You don't have to wait for the trial to finish. Buying additional traffic with the PayPal account linked to your subscription ends the trial right away: your full plan traffic is unlocked and both restrictions are lifted. Your subscription just continues — no need to cancel and re-subscribe.

If you're on a free trial, no refund is needed since you haven't been charged yet. Otherwise, we generally don't provide refunds as described in Section 11 of the Terms of Service. Consumers in the EU and UK have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Beyond that, we may refund you if you didn't use the service at all after payment (e.g. you forgot about an active subscription). Refunds cover only the last billing cycle, and we refund the amount we received after PayPal fees.
Access to our rotating proxy server and a dashboard to monitor your traffic usage and see your next bill estimate. There's nothing to download or install — add your IP address for IP authentication, or configure your HTTP client for proxy authentication, and you're ready to go.
No limit on devices (different client IPs). Your plan covers total traffic across all devices. We do cap simultaneous connections at 200 per client IP to keep the proxy running efficiently. If you're hitting that limit, use connection pooling in your client.
We're required to charge VAT on sales to non-business customers in the European Union. If your billing address is in the EU, VAT is applied automatically to your monthly usage. All VAT collected is paid to the tax authority of the relevant EU member state. You can see your VAT charges on your Billing page.
If you're a registered business, enter your VAT ID before subscribing to remove VAT from your monthly bill.
